The Discover K¹² Series: Live, Online Seminars All Year Round

This series of seminars on important topics are all approximately one hour and provide plenty of time to ask questions. Best of all, you don’t even have to leave your home to attend. Choose the topic that most closely matches your family's educational needs.

Using K¹²: Part Parent, Part Teacher

This seminar focuses on the Online School (OLS) tools and features, and walks you through learning schedules, lessons, planning, materials, assessments, and attendance options. You'll also see the progress tool, which helps parents evaluate what they've already covered and what needs to be covered in future lessons. Finally, you'll receive an OLS demo account access code so that following the seminar you can try out the K¹² curriculum for yourself.

Discover K¹²: Subject by Subject
Interested in hearing more about a specific K¹² subject area? These seminars are a great way to do it. Each one offers a unique and focused presentation about a specific K¹² curriculum subject area and provides insight into the course philosophy and hierarchy of that subject. You'll also hear how the course correlates with other K¹² subjects and, in some cases, receive handouts for additional activities for you and your children. You'll also receive an OLS demo account access code so that following the seminar you can try out the K¹² curriculum for yourself.

Speak to the World (Foreign Language Focus)
These seminars are geared to introducing families to powerspeaK¹², K¹²'s foreign language curriculum. Each seminar will discuss how the curriculum is built for kids, demonstrate the online learning tools including audio and answer questions.

Results Show K¹² Students Excel
These seminars focus on student academic achievement by sharing test results of students using K¹² through the Florida Virtual Academy since homeschool student records are not available. The seminar will also go into course and philosophy details.

What About Socialization?
Many parents have expressed concern about teaching their child at home due to worries and fears about proper socialization. This seminar delves into research regarding homeschooling and socialization as well as introduces methods to incorporate social, academic and athletic aspects into everyday studies. This is a must attend presentation for any parent (or extended family member) expressing concerns about making sure her child is well-rounded and properly socialized.

High School Options
K¹² offers several high school options including part-time and full-time enrollment in the International Academy. If you choose to remain an independent homeschooler, the part-time option offers you a wide variety of course selections and  you continue to remain a homeschooler. If you are looking for a full-time high school option, the International Academy offers numerous courses, teachers, advisors, college and career planning and a private school diploma. Join us online to learn these two options and decide how either may fit your needs.

This seminar is dedicated to families who move frequently or are on the road with work, athletics or acting careers. This primarily is important to military families with frequent relocations. Learn how other families incorporate a consistent education into their child’s life even with multiple relocations and inconsistent schedules.
